I'm home in Minneapolis now, but images of Phoenix linger. I call these homes in the historic Coronado neighborhood "Perfect Houses". That might smack of hyperbole, but to me, perfection isn't about symmetry, spotlessness, or impeccable landscaping. It is about the unexpected, the well-loved. A clay tile roof; a unique trim detail; bright yellow stucco or a pop of blue paint; a mathematically designed brick facade; blue flower pots on a wide, welcoming porch. Vernacular architecture - with a twist. These homes charmed me, cheered me, and inspired me. I hope they do the same for you.
